Spending money on credit card nowadays become a burden to most people. To those who do not know how to budget well, this card can be a devastating weapon which can cause mass destruction to ones life. On how to use your card correctly, please proceed to this post which I've explain before this but in new post, I will try to explain more on the service tax which was recently introduce by the government on the pre tax of reducing people's mishandling of their cards.
RM50 is the price of this service tax and reason of this introduction is to curb people from over spending their means and therefore, reducing the card on hand would definitely reduce the risk of overspending.........according to government that is. For me, that is full of crap.......if this guy wan to overspend his card, he can do it anytime and is still consider overspend. Example: His credit card limit is RM10,000 and his salary is RM4,000, he spend on average RM5,000 every month on something he likes which means he would be in deficit every month from there onwards. Does that means he is overspend with one card?.....Absolutely yes!!!!! So, what is the point of having this service tax then?

Great Gifts, Guaranteed
20th July 2010
Guaranteed gifts are back and this time, the gifts are more interesting then before. Before I proceed any further, I just would like to clarify one thing, I'm not representing Standard Chartered bank in promoting any of their products or services, but just that I'm sharing with you guys what a great bargain that they are offering, from my point of view that is.
This type of bargain actually came around before, about half year back and I was really sceptical then about this as they mention guaranteed gifts which makes my eyes peel even bigger. There are sure hidden agenda that might trouble you in getting what they are offering. After digging deeper into their terms and condition, I discover only one set back to it, which is the amount you need to spend in order to get a grab of the gifts, and that's about it.

Benefits of Using Credit Card
14th March 2009
Credit card. Do we really need to use it or we should avoid it totally? Well, its up to you really, whether to spend through it or use cash instead. Recent survey by AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd, showed that consumers were buying more items on credit these days, instead of using cash. Additionally, the recent relaxation in the interest rate and the late payment charges may encourage consumers to increase further their consumption credit patterns via the use of credit cards, according to OSK Research.
With the credit crush looming and recession inevitable, some people would definitely advice otherwise but with bank cutting all interest rate on this section like:
1) Late payment fees were reduced from a minimum of RM10 to RM5.
2) The maximum fees were reduced from RM100 to RM75
3) The reduced rates were from 15% to 13.5% for Tier 1 credit card holders, 18% to 17% for Tier-2 and 18% to 17.5% for Tier-3
4) Bla.....bla.....bla......
then we can all consider this again.

Local Cinema Ticket Costing RM20?
26th December 2008
Can you believe it, they are proposing the local cinema ticket to be increased to RM20. Haih......another help is needed by Malaysian to fight with their own counter part in the same business. They can't seem to understand the meaning of challenges and self motivation. They always need something from Government........Government this, Government that.......
And this time, its the local film industry that needed Government help. This time, they claim that most of the viewers prefer English or foreign movie compare to local one and thus, if the Government would increase the price of the foreign movie tickets and maintain the price for the local one, they would reap better benefits. Phui.......(i'm spitting....ke ke ke)........I would still go for English or oversea movie rather than the local movie ler........ well, this statement its for my own that is but then again, i bet, it would be the same for others as well albeit not all. You have to understand one thing, its not that we don't support local films and all but just that, they are sucks. No creativity, no improvement and no.....err....no.....err.......no everything actually, something that would pull people to go and see it is not there at all.
Couple of days back, i read this article in NST newspaper, saying that Malaysian Film Producers Association is proposing the increase of Foreign movie tickets in cinema so that more Malaysian will go and see local movies.

Recyling Liquid Bottle/Container
26th December 2008
Recycle. What is the meaning of this word? Well, basically it means its a method that involves processing used materials into new products in order to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to virgin production.
I bet most of you guys know this but then again do you guys really go and help out in the effort of reducing waste in the environment? In actual fact, we have been informed and trained since we are kids, to recycle all recyclable things like bottles, papers, plastics, steel, and card board to name a few. I believe, I've see a lot of government effort on this campaign has gone to waste as many of us still 'not educated properly' on this matter and thus, we still able to see a lot of recycle items being littered every where in our country. I can't totally blame us all in handing out to our Mother Nature the death note but then again, it seems we did not do enough to protect her either.

EPF Contribution: 11% drop to 8%
18th November 2008
EPF Contribution reduce from 11% to 8%, is it good or bad thing?
Since this is my blog and this is my view, and my point of view only, i would say i totally agree with this but i'm sure, there are a lot of people would disagree with me as well.
Perhaps you may know that this EPF reduction is merely an option to you and knowing that you would have extra money in the pocket would bring some hope and definately joy to certain people if not all. Since this is an option, at least you know you have a choice to make whether to have extra money for you to pull through the hard time now or you can save in for the future when you retire later, if you are still alive that is.
You have to understand that government is merely open up another option to its people to think about and to move on with the current bad time. You can say you are worry that you might not have enough money when you retire later but think it this way, we survive today to have tomorrow, so why worry about tomorrow when you can't even survive today right? Some of you would debate with me on this matter but then again, i would not say you are wrong either. We have our own principle and my principle for this matter is quite clear, take out the money that i would save for the 3% difference.
One of the groups opposing to this matter, MTUC or The Malaysian Trade Union Congress even mentioned that:
"a 35-year-old person with a RM3,000 monthly salary would be reducing his EPF contribution by RM2,160 over the course of two years. Assuming that a 5% dividend is paid out annually with the compound element over a period of 20 years, he will be RM5,500 “poorer” when he retires. And this is not taking into consideration past (one-year period in 2001 and 2003) and future exercises of a similar nature.
